US Gov's CDC gives Zombie Advise... just in case

Submitted by admin on Sun, 05/22/2011 - 21:51

Just beacuse you never know... and the US Gov has a policy of "spend it or lose it" so here is a brief analysis from THE EXPERTS on how to handle any Zombie uprising:

Now that's a shovel, I mean Crovel

Submitted by admin on Mon, 05/02/2011 - 21:48

The Crovel is a cross between a Shovel and a Crowbar but also serves as a saw, axe, hammer, bottle opener, and more. I have to admit it looks very wicked and purpose built. The handle is made from a crowbar with the shovel attached at one end and hammer head welded tot he other. I find it inspiring... I need to start looking for some metal scrap laying around.

Post apocalypse when gun aren't welcome

Submitted by admin on Sat, 12/25/2010 - 20:45

The BBC in the UK really does have some great programs and shows. I am really enjoying a show called Survivors! But I have one huge complaint. England is very anti gun and so is this show. A virus kills 98% of the entire world, so this show is about those left trying to survive and yet for the first two WHOLE seasons ONLY bad people and ex-cons carried guns. Despite rapes, kidnappings, theft and murder by all manner of evil people the 'good' survivors kept saying that guns weren't the answer.

Spike TV brings guns to beginners

Submitted by admin on Sun, 12/12/2010 - 03:45

Spike TV has a series of gun related shows that just started up. Some of these are targeted towards the "never shot a gun" crowd but even that makes sense as the primary audience of Spike TV is likely a 16 to mid 20s male that is not currently watching the Outdoors channel.

Wikileaks - time to share and share alike

Here are a few perspectives on the Wikileaks' Cable posts. Grits for Breakfast has some great research and comments on how the Mexico leaks point to why the Mexican government has failed in their war with drugs. He references a great post over at CNN which says only about 2% of those arrested by the Mexican military actually get prosecuted.

"Jurors convicted former officer David Warren, 47, of manslaughter for shooting Glover. Officer Greg McRae, 49, was convicted of torching Glover's body in a car and Lt. Travis McCabe, 40, was convicted of writing a false police report and lying to federal investigators."

The Falcon Lake Murder - Mexican drug war spills American blood

Submitted by admin on Thu, 10/21/2010 - 23:31

Its shocking how bad Mexico is right now and no one in the US media is paying much attention. I don't know why because its just the kind of over the top violence that most newies love to show. The four-year conflict has left at least 30,000 dead (LA Times). The article below by STRATFOR is the first time I saw a clear picture of what is happening in Mexico and how it all got started.

Their reporting and analysis is bar none the best I have seen. I enjoy watch NatGeo's Border Wars but their episode Murder on the Lake was a reporting joke compared to STRATFOR. The aricle below to this post to understand why the war is still raging out of control and a pretty good picture of the Mexican situation starts to form.
